Common Questions About Our Products & Services
International Coolers manufactures a full range of commercial refrigeration products including walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, combination cooler-freezer units, convenience store coolers, convenience store freezers, drive-in cooler and freezer units, and insulated metal panels. Every unit is custom-built to order based on your exact specifications. We do not sell pre-fabricated or off-the-shelf units.
Standard lead times for custom walk-in coolers and freezers range from 2 to 4 weeks from the date of order confirmation, depending on the size and complexity of the unit. Larger projects or units with special configurations may require 4 to 6 weeks. We provide a firm delivery estimate at the time of order and keep you updated throughout the manufacturing process.
Yes, International Coolers ships to all 50 states as well as internationally. We work with experienced freight carriers who specialize in handling large, delicate shipments to ensure your unit arrives in perfect condition. Shipping costs are calculated based on the size of the unit and the delivery destination.
We offer insulated panels in 4-inch, 5-inch, and 6-inch thicknesses. Four-inch panels are standard for walk-in coolers operating above 32°F and provide an R-value of approximately 32. Five-inch panels are the standard for walk-in freezers. Six-inch panels are available for extreme cold storage applications and blast freezers.
Absolutely. We offer both glass door and solid door options for our walk-in coolers, freezers, and convenience store units. Glass doors are available in single, double, and triple configurations with low-E glass, LED lighting, heated frames for freezer applications, and self-closing hinges.
Refrigeration systems are available as an option on all of our units. We offer both self-contained and remote refrigeration configurations. Self-contained systems mount directly on top of or adjacent to the unit. Remote systems place the condensing unit at a distance, reducing noise and heat. We can also supply the walk-in box only if you prefer to source your own refrigeration.
Our minimum walk-in cooler and freezer size is 6 feet by 6 feet with a standard height of 7 feet 6 inches. There is effectively no maximum size. We have manufactured units exceeding 100 feet in length for warehouse and industrial applications. Common sizes range from 6x8 to 20x20 feet, but we regularly build custom dimensions.
Yes, floor panels are available for all walk-in coolers and freezers. Floor panels are recommended for freezer applications to provide insulation between the freezer interior and the building slab, preventing frost heave. Our floor panels are constructed with the same insulated panel technology as our walls and ceilings, with a reinforced surface designed to support foot traffic, pallet jacks, and equipment loads.
Our standard interior and exterior finish is 26-gauge galvalume steel. We also offer stainless steel interiors for USDA-inspected facilities, pharmaceutical environments, and food processing plants. Embossed aluminum and smooth aluminum finishes are available. Custom colors and finishes can be quoted on a project-by-project basis.
